Meet our President
This blog is written in recognition of all the volunteers in the nonprofit world who help lead organizations and manage the demands of agendas, schedules and financial goals. There are just over 1.5 million nonprofit organizations in the United States with 90% of them having annual operational revenue of less that $500,000. Next Generation fits neatly into this demographic and as a smaller nonprofit, we look to the skills and time of gifted community leaders for help.
Leading a board of directors takes time, talent and patients. Denise Thompson has brought to Next Generation a wide array of skills ranging from the microcosm of working to recruit participants for programs to the 35,000 foot view of strategic planning. Her and the fellow directors have helped maintain Next Generation as a valuable partner for Marin County’s eco-education movement.
With her guidance and the support of her fellow directors, Next Generation looks to a very bright future. The summer leadership program is under full swing, as well as new schools for partnerships during the 2015-2016 school year. The future is bright… thank you Denise!
