Programs

Next Generation offers numerous programs that help local youth, teachers, schools and youth groups raise awareness about social issues, foster leadership development and promote grassroots action for peace, democracy and our environment, including:

GREEN SCHOOLS PROGRAM

The Next Generation Green Schools Program exists to foster environmental education, youth leadership development, and green behaviors and operations in our schools. We work with students, teachers and administrators at elementary, middle and high schools to tailor a comprehensive program that supports current school priorities and engages students to create a sustainable future.

COMMUNITY EVENTS and VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

In addition to programs geared toward schools and youth groups, Next Generation is well known for its inspiring events, including our:

We also offer young people and adults additional ways to get involved, including: Volunteer and Internship opportunities – Help out at the office, support our events, or even adopt a local school and help its students learn more about the environment and engage in green action projects.

 

PEACE CAMPAIGN

  • The Big Peace March will be on March 15 this year. Join us in an inspiring day for peace! Click here for details, and to check out inspiring photos from last year's march.

  • Our Peace Education Program – Empowering young people to learn more about US foreign policy, develop leadership skills, and work for peace.

  • The Peace Action Group - People in their 20s and 30s meeting to share in the heart of the work we do for peace, and to create projects to influence local politics and organize events.
